The Georgia Postpartum Support Network was created to support women and their families as they deal with mood disorders during and after pregnancy. With proper help including therapy, exercise, diet changes, medication, you can recover completely. We are developing a statewide support network to provide information and guidance to women throughout Georgia.

The Georgia Postpartum Support Network is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing education, support and resources to Georgia mothers experiencing perinatal mood disorders as well as to their partners and families. 

GPSN also strives to increase awareness about perinatal mood disorders and their devastating consequences in the community at large and provide women’s healthcare providers from all backgrounds with educational opportunities thereby encouraging them to develop a more comprehensive approach to postpartum health and Perinatal Mood Disorders.

Our mission:

  •  Increasing awareness and educating the community about perinatal mood disorders
  • Educating and training healthcare professionals to adopt a more thorough approach to postpartum health, including routine screening for perinatal mood disorders 
  • Building community partnerships to develop a comprehensive program serving the needs of women with perinatal mood disorders and their families and increase mental health and wellness in the community.
