Help Save Jobs and Modernize Schools in Your Community

As state budgets have been slashed across the country, educators have lost their jobs, critical programs have been cut, and vital school modernization projects have been put on hold. Now, there’s something you can do about it.

President Obama has proposed the American Jobs Act, which would put 280,000 educators back to work; create jobs modernizing 35,000 schools; invest in community colleges; and lower mortgage rates to keep people in their homes, which benefits schools by stabilizing local property tax bases. NEA is working with President Obama to convince Congress that this bill must be passed now—and we need your help.

Just visit and tell us how cuts are affecting your local schools. We’ll share these stories with members of congres to demonstrat the urgent need to pass the American Jobs Act.
